Mist Collection - (Modular Glass Media Type)

AER Control Systems AER Control Systems "V" Mist Collectors use an impinger system and a 99.9% glass fiber media filter to simply and effectively clean high volumes of dirty mist.

The proprietary design provides the filtration required to capture the smoke and mist generated by machining and metalworking.

"V" mist collection systems are available from 1000 to 9000 cfm.

Why is it so effective?
All "V" units incorporate three filter stages to trap contaminants. First, a cleanable impinger acts as a prefilter for mist. Second, a 1" thick aluminum mesh filter works to trap large particles.

And third, glass fiber filter captures 99.9%the remaining fine contaminants and mist. Clean, filtered air exhausts out the blower back into the work environment.

If required, a HEPA filter can be added as a final filter to eliminate smoke.

Standard features include
The "V"-6000 Mist Collector provides twin filter systems in a single 6000 cfm cabinet

An "V"-9000 Mist Collector offers flow rates to 9000 cfm in a compact, quiet system.

Glass Media filter systems are far less expensive to maintain than competitive cartridge mist collection systems.

Mist Collectors - Mini-Mist SM-12

Mini-Mist SM-12 Mini-Mist's small footprint makes it easy to mount on or over a single machine.

Mini-Mist is perfect for machines that are fully enclosed or that have low CFM requirements. Mini-Mist’s design keeps installation costs to a minimum and provides high efficiency filtration.

A reduction in airborne contaminants helps cut operating costs and protects the operator’s breathing zone.

Airflow ranges from 400-1200 CFM. Units weigh from only 160 lbs. and operate at only 72 dBA!

How the Mini-Mist operates:
A direct-drive fan pulls dirty air through the inlet on the bottom of the unit.

Mini-Mist units incorporate three filter stages to trap contaminants. First, a cleanable 4" thick impinger acts as a prefilter for mist. Second, a 1" thick aluminum mesh filter works to trap large particles. And third, a 23 square foot glass fiber filter captures 99.9% the remaining fine contaminants and mist.

Clean, filtered air exhausts out the blower back into the work environment.

The Mini-Mist motor is TEFC, 1/2 HP; voltage is 115/1/60 Hz.

A standard minihelic gauge indicates when filters need to be changed, and the cabinet design makes filter changes easy. Just unscrew the four knobs, remove the door, and slide out the filters.

Mini-Mist units are easy to operate and maintain. An ON/OFF switch turns the unit on and off - no extra motor control is required.

An optional inlet hose kit is available for overhead mounting and an optional silencer reduces blower exhaust noise.

Mist Collectors - (Centrifugal Type)

AER Control Systems CM-Type Mist Collector AER Control Systems CM-Type Mist Collectors use a centrifugal action to separate sub-micron liquid particles.

A perforated, rapidly spinning drum traps and retains captivated mist until it's grown to droplet size. Centrifugal force throws the droplets free of the perforated drum to the inner wall of the casing.

High velocity air drives the liquified oil along the walls and through the circumferential slot into a collection chamber.

Clean air returns to the plant environment, by way of the exhaust grill, and the clean, recycled oil drains from the unit for reuse or disposal.

Designed to source-capture air pollutants, choose a Mist Collector if you need a compact unit to mount directly to a machine and when the contaminants are usually just mist and smoke.

Directly mounted units eliminate unsightly ductwork, venting outdoors, and the high cost of make-up air. Housed in a sturdy, 16-gauge steel encasement, AER Control Systems Mist Collectors stand up to tough, industrial environments.

Units weigh from only 70 to 125 lbs. and operate from only 70 to 74 dBA.

Capabilities range from 100 to 900 CFM.

Standard features include a coated, perforated rotating drum, large collection chamber, and advanced drain system.

Maintenance is easy—just replace the inexpensive throwaway liner.

AER Control Systems's standard Mist Collectors deliver a particulate efficiency of 98% at 1.0 micron. When equipped with an optional HEPA filter, efficiency is 99.97% at 0.3 microns.

AER Control Systems Mist Collectors are available with high performance in-cover or in-line prefilters for removal of swarf and large chips and in-cover impingers for applications with heavy concentrations of fine mist.

Generally, these machines are designed for CLEAN mist. If your application created mist heavy with particulate, choose instead the Modular MediaFilter™.
