Ranges of Valve Sizes:
Valves are available from 2" through 60" rated at 200 psi differential (other sizes and pressures available upon request)
Body:
Bodies can be constructed of low or high temp cast iron, or stainless steel. Meets ASTM-A-536.
Liner Materials:
Standard liner materials are Buna N or EPDM (EPT). Both are extremely tough and abrasion resistant (other liner materials available upon request).
Disc Materials:
Three disc materials are stocked to meet a wide range of service conditions: Ductile iron-(electroless nickel coated) meets ASTM-A-536 (excluding coating), (other disc materials available upon request).
Operators:
Levers and gear operators can be interchanged in the field without adapters. Gear operators are fully enclosed and grease-packed to ease opening and closing of valves operating at high differential pressures. Also prevents valve from too rapid opening and closing. All gears are standard with indicator plates to show position of valve disc. We offer gear, electric and pneumatic operators.
Remote Control:
Valv-Tech "Faircoseal" Butterfly Valves may be equipped with factory installed pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators and can be supplied with positioning devices as well.
Individual Testing:
EACH VALVE IS INDIVIDUALLY TESTED AT PRESSURES IN EXCESS OF ITS RATED CAPACITY, BEFORE SHIPMENT.
Easy to Install:
These valves fit between pipe flanges conforming to ANSI B16.1 and B16.5 standards for flanges for number and spacing bolt holes. Bolts should be tightened sufficiently for leak-proof seal, but not over-tightened to impair the flange. Because of the multiple-ribbed flange seals, no gaskets are required.
Face-to-face dimensions conform to MSS SP-67 in sizes 2" - 12."
Valves can be installed for flow in either direction. Butterfly valve discs in the open position extend into the pipe flange. To avoid damage to the disc edge, the valve must be properly centered with the piping with internal diameters smaller then schedule 40. Always insure that a Butterfly valve is in the closed position during installation to prevent damage to the edge of the disc.
NOTE:
Valv-Tech does not recommend the use of lever operators on sizes over 6" unless the differential pressure is low.
